Founder & CEO
Dr. Pampa Ghosh is an accomplished Material Scientist and Metallurgist with over 20 years
of experience in industrial research. Specializing in high-strength steels,
material characterization, crystallographic texture, advanced analysis,
phase transformation, and welding, she has made significant contributions
to multiple industries through her expertise in
product development and process innovation.
Throughout her career, Dr. Pampa has played a pivotal role in
leading research teams at Tata Steel, where she developed and trained
professionals and fostered collaborations with various mills, sister companies, academia,
research laboratories, and other industry leaders.
She completed two postdoctoral fellowships - one at McGill University and the other
at Concordia University - where she worked closely with Canadian academia and private
companies on innovative projects.
Dr. Pampa is a prolific researcher with over 35 publications and 14 patents to her name. Her technical
excellence is complemented by her commitment to mentoring and knowledge sharing, making her an
invaluable contributor to both research and industry.
Chief Mentor
Professor Ranjit Kumar Ray is an AICTE-INAE Distinguished Visiting Professor at SRMIST
Chennai and CMRIT Bengaluru. A former professor at IIT Kanpur, he also served as a
distinguished visiting professor at the Dr. M. N. Dastur School of Materials Science and
Engineering. Additionally, he spent nearly a decade as a Visiting Scientist and Consultant
for the R&D division of Tata Steel.
Professor Ray holds dual PhDs, one from the University of Birmingham, UK, and the other from
the University of Calcutta.
He completed his M.E. and B.E. at the University of Calcutta.
With over 250 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 7,500
citations, Professor Ray is a renowned figure in the field. His accolades include the
Calcutta University Gold Medal, Kamani Gold Medal, G.D. Birla Gold Medal of the Indian
Institute of Metals, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, and the Best Metallurgist's Award
from the Government of India. He was elected Fellow of the Indian National Academy of
Engineering in 1999 and the Indian Institute of Metals in 2001.
Professor Ray's career is distinguished by his significant contributions to materials
science, particularly in the study of textures of materials, earning him international
recognition.
